Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician (Weekend Shift)
Schedule: Saturdays 11:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Sundays 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Additional Shift Coverage PRN

Job Description:
Emergency Animal Clinic of Topeka is seeking a compassionate, dependable Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team for weekend coverage. This part-time position is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively restrain dogs and cats for exams and procedures

• Administer oral, injectable, and topical medications as prescribed

• Perform routine technical duties such as blood draws, catheter placements, and basic lab work

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgeries

• Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure

• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinic protocols

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas RVT license (or eligibility to obtain one)

• Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting

• Strong animal handling and restraint skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable and punctual, with strong communication skills

• Comfortable working weekends as scheduled
